This week at Beavers we learnt about packing a bag for a day trip in the great big outdoors. We decided that ice cream was probably not a good thing to pack, but you probably need sun cream on a hot day!
We then packed a bag and went off on a hike around the room – it was all great fun.
This week we created a scale model of the solar system using everyday household objects. We had mercury as a peppercorn and Jupiter as a basketball. Would you believe that at this scale we couldn’t fit Neptune in the same room! It had to be 33m away from the sun.
To finish this badge we are going to build bottle rockets. Hopefully we’ll have some pictures of that!
We took part in National Tree Dressing week by creating decorations for the trees at Gheluvelt park!
